“By The Way 2” – Public Art in Ireland

In 2010 Ann Lane published a photo book of public sculpture in Ireland, titled By the Way.  In 2019, realising that she had enough material for a second book, she published By the Way 2. This talk will be about a selection of the 1,800 public art installations all over the island of Ireland. Ann covered over 60,000 kms on her journey to see these monuments which cover  Legend, Famine, Emigration, Commemoration, Religion and Sport.
