This talk will give an overview of her research and examine the impact of landlords on nineteenth-century suburban design in Monkstown and Glasthule.

The formation of speculator-led marine terraces at Newtownsmith, such as Martello and Windsor Terraces, will be compared with the estate-led setting out of Vesey Place, De Vesci Terrace and Longford Terrace.
